Growing Through Prayer – The Hope of Easter
Lord,
As our family prepares for Easter, help us to see past the bunnies and baskets. We want to celebrate the hope we find in Jesus. He tore down every barrier to knowing your love. He overcame death. Fear. Despair. Hate. Division. In him we have life that no one can take away.
This year, may our family worship like never before. Give us eyes to see your light, no matter how dark it might seem in this world. Restore the joy of our salvation. Stir us with anticipation of seeing Jesus’ face when he comes again. Do a new thing in our hearts and minds as we praise you.
Amen.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.” (1 Peter 1:3-4)
